Texans Fear Deshaun Watson Tore His ACL

Deshaun Watson, the Houston Texans' rookie quarterback, is feared to have suffered a season-ending ligament injury. Especially with J.J. Watt out for the season, losing Watson could be a crippling blow to the Texans' playoff hopes.

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a non-contact injury on Thursday and reportedly suffered a torn ACL. Watson got up and walked before his knee was looked at, though he didn't finish practice.

Watson will undergo an MRI to confirm the injury next, per Rapoport. In a shootout loss to the Seahawks, Watson threw for 402 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for another 67 yards.

Watson, the rookie quarterback out of Clemson who the Texans traded up to take in the 2017 NFL Draft, had been on fire over the past month, taking the league by storm.

Tom Savage is in line to start this weekend against the Colts, who announced Thursday that Andrew Luck will not play this season.
