BlackBerry Motion - No physical keyboard on this one

BlackBerry has again launched a new Android smartphone made by TCL.

It was only a few days ago when reliable leaker Even Blass tweeted out images of the BlackBerry Motion, which resembles this year's BB KEYone, only without an important feature. It also gets a significant bump-up in battery, going from the Keyone's 3,500mAh to 4,000mAh. The 5.5-inch display offers a Full HD resolution and a 401 ppi pixel density. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

Starting from today, the BlackBerry Motion is available on pre-orders in UAE with a pricing of Dh 1,699 (~$462) and in Saudi Arabia for 1,699 Riyal (~$453). The company has not mentioned the availability of the device in other countries.

An official announcement of the new smartphone BlackBerry Motion, for the last two weeks flashed on the teaser and rendering. BlackBerry and TCL are aiming for a limited launch, which practically means, for now, the Middle East.

One of the most exciting features of the new BlackBerry smartphone is that it comes with an IP67 certification, making it dust and water resistant.

The BlackBerry Motion will have the tough security software BlackBerry is known for, and will reportedly have an impressive 26-hour battery life. Also onboard is the home button present which is embedded in the screen with a fingerprint scanner. You can even juice it to 50 percent capacity in just 40 minutes with Quick Charge 3.0. There is a 12-megapixel rear shooter and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The company is calling its operating system BlackBerry Secure, which will come with all security features that are available with a BlackBerry-branded smartphone.
