Liverpool train ahead of Champions League clash with Sevilla

The German will be able to call upon Philippe Coutinho for the first time this season, with the Brazilian all smiles despite his failed move to Barcelona this summer.

There are footballing reasons to start Philippe Coutinho against Sevilla on Wednesday, with the player having played 30 minutes for Brazil twice over the recent worldwide break and while perhaps not ready to go the full 90 minutes at least ready to play 60 should Jürgen Klopp decide to start him.

Then I would expect to see Coutinho starting against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday, when his invention and guile would be very useful to unlock the door against opponents who will come to Anfield intent on defending.

"Phil is a fantastic player, and hopefully we can use him as quickly as possible".

It will be great to hear that Champions League anthem being played at Anfield again tomorrow night, with this competition meaning more than any other to the club's fans.

Aaron Donald ends holdout, reports to Rams without new deal
The defensive star is one of the best players in the National Football League but a contract dispute with his team. Playing this season under his rookie contract is a fairly enormous risk, given that kind of earning potential.

In a ideal world, their star man Coutinho would play from the off but the 25-year-old is yet to make an appearance this season.

Emre Can of Liverpool celebrates scoring his sides first goal during the UEFA Champions League Qualifying Play-Offs round second leg match between Liverpool FC and 1899 Hoffenheim at Anfield on August 23, 2017 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Despite playing twice for Brazil, the forward was left out of Saturday's 5-0 defeat by Manchester City.

Speaking after receiving his award, Salah told Liverpool's official website: "I'm very happy to have this start with the team and to help the team win points and win games".

I fancy them to get the win that will send them on their way in the Champions League, but they can not afford a second defeat in succession as it would halt their early season momentum in an instant.
