Taylor Swift expected to testify about claim a radio host groped her

Taylor Swift is expected to testify as her legal battle with a former radio DJ, David Mueller, over allegations he groped her, arrives in court this week.

Ex-DJ David Mueller already has been sanctioned for destroying evidence.

Swift then counter-sued and claimed sexual assault by Mueller, leading to the trial in civil court that will see the singer take the stand to testify.

Mueller has maintained that he never inappropriately touched Swift and in the original lawsuit claims that following the photo, a co-worker, Eddie Haskell, "excitedly told him about his experience meeting Ms.Swift earlier that night", including how he "described and demonstrated how he had put his arms around her, hands on her bottom".

TMZ posted the reported photo in question last November.

The photo shows David Mueller with his right hand behind the singer, just below her waist, before a 2013 concert. "Swift, Mueller intentionally reached under her skirt, and groped with his hand an intimate part of her body in an inappropriate manner, against her will, and without her permission", Swift's countersuit filed in October 2015 reads.

Swift and her mother will personally testify at Denver hearing.

All 41 Colorado state parks will be free today to celebrate Colorado Day, which was officially celebrated last Tuesday. He was invited to the June 2, 2013 meet-and-greet as part of his job, and that is where the alleged groping incident took place.

Mueller says he was verbally abused and kicked out of the venue by her security.

According to the Denver Post, radio host Mueller was invited to a meet-and-greet with Swift during the Denver stop of her Red tour.

Did a DJ grope Taylor Swift's backside? She tried to keep the situation "discreet and quiet and confidential" and was upset by Mueller's claim that "for some reason she might have some incentive to actually fabricate this story", her attorney, Douglas Baldridge, has argued in court. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault - it was Mueller - and she is not confused in the slightest about whether her long-term business acquaintance, Mr. Haskell, was the culprit. Swift's bodyguard and a photographer who took a picture that Swift says shows the assault occurring will give eyewitness accounts on her behalf. Swift might appear. The presiding judge, William J. Martínez, has warned anyone who hopes to attend to refrain from wearing clothing "bearing the name or likeness of any of the parties".

Swift fans can technically be allowed in the courtroom, as 32 seats are designated for members of the public - not media - and 75 seats will be made available in the public overflow location in the courthouse.
