Monday Apple Rumors: Apple Leaks HomePod Features

Eagle-eyed developers Steve Troughton-Smith and Guilherme Rambo were sifting through firmware for the brand new HomePod speaker system when they noticed mentions of a mysterious device.

Troughton-Smith also notes that the iPhone 8 might support tap-to-wake feature just like other smartphones on the market. Included as part of "BiometricKit", the existence of infrared face unlocking was found in numerous places throughout the HomePod's software payload.

It is still unclear whether Apple leaked the HomePod firmware by accident or it was intentionally distributed for developers to do some customizations on the speaker ahead of its official release.

The new device is expected to be launched in September so there will no doubt be several leaks before then.

Should all this be true, it will be the biggest change to the iPhone devices since the introduction of larger screens in 2014 with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Aaron Judge Hit a Home Run So Far It Broke Statcast
The ball ricocheted to second baseman Starlin Castro, who threw back to Headley for what could have been an inning-ending out. That ended when he crushed a lazy curveball to within one row of the top of the upper deck in left field (see below).

Hillary Clinton's election book titled 'What Happened'
The ally hopes for this book to be a, "bombshell". "But then the Comey letter coming as it did - just 10 days before the election - really raised questions in a lot of people".

Kim and Kanye Expecting Another Child via a Surrogate
The surrogate's contract with the couple also ensures aspects of the birth mother's health and wellness habits. It looks like that family is expanding, as Kardashian's surrogate is now allegedly three months pregnant.

While the iPhone 7 has seen an evolution in the design of Apple's smartphone, it has been some way from being revolutionary in the fashion that earlier iPhones were.

According to the reports that were coming, Apple was planning to include an infrared camera for scanning the face of users.

While there's no news yet if Pearl will replace the fingerprint Touch ID unlock feature, or simply supplement it, facial-recognition unlock access seems totally futuristic. The virtual home button is called the "home indicator", and will most likely be hidden in certain contexts such as when watching a video.

Of course, until Apple makes an official announcement about the future iPhone, speculation will continue but the discoveries made by the pair of developers may lend further credence to prior rumors. He followed this with an image of the new iPhone, plucked from the firmware and widely considered as the first piece of indisputable evidence that this is what the new iPhone will look like. The icon confirms the many leaks we've been seeing over the past few months. Within the HomePod firmware, a glyph looks very similar to the design rumors for the iPhone 8, with a near bezel-less design and notch cut out over the top of the earpiece for calling and sensors.
