Should Dembele's move go through it would see Dortmund make a huge profit on a player who has only played 32 games for the club.

Dembele made a courageous decision last summer to resist the advances of Barca and Madrid to move to Dortmund from Rennes and ensure his development wouldn't be restricted by a lack of game time.

Dembele's skills on the pitch, including a series of dazzling assists, quickly impressed and earned him "wunderkind" headlines in the German press, though he has been criticised at times for lacking discipline.

Dortmund only signed Dembele on a five-year deal from Rennes in May 2016 and could end with a huge profit should they eventually sell.
