Police hope sketch brings them closer to killer of teen girls

The sketch released Monday was created by an artist from information collected by all the agencies, including the FBI, involved in the double-murder investigation.

Fourteen-year-old Liberty German vanished with 13-year-old Abigail Williams on February 13 while hiking a trail near their hometown of Delphi, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Indianapolis.

Police released that photo early in their investigation, hoping someone would recognize the suspect.

It's been more than five months since the girls' bodies were found on a trail near the Monon High Bridge.

"The person is described as a white male, between 5'6" and 5'10", weighing 180 to 220 pounds. The eye color is unknown.

Investigators released this photo of a man seen on the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, the same day two girls were killed.

It is speculated that the evidence being released could help identify the man in a cellphone picture taken by the girls, who police say is the prime suspect. Anyone with information about the murders or the person depicted in the composite sketch should call the established tip line at 844-459-5786 and can remain anonymous.

They also released audio of a man's voice that the phone video had captured.

A $230,000 reward is being offered by authorities for information into the murders.
