Trump Appears to Confirm He Is Under Investigation

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Justice Department's Trump-Russia probe following reports that he had twice met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Rosenstein wrote a three-page memo on May 9 criticizing Comey for his handling of the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private server while in office. Trump tweets. Echoing tweets from Thursday, he concludes by adding: "Witch Hunt".

But it was released shortly after The Washington Post reported - citing unnamed U.S. officials familiar with the matter - that the business dealings of President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are being investigated by Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller, who has been investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election and the Trump administration's potential ties to Russia.

The president's tweets came two years to the day after Trump first launched his improbable presidential bid by famously descending an escalator in Trump Tower in NY, and while his presidency is embroiled in crisis over the federal investigation led by Mueller into his campaign's ties to Russian Federation.

Before his dismissal, Comey confirmed the Federal Bureau of Investigation had been investigating alleged Russian government efforts to interfere in the election, including any links between Trump's campaign and Moscow.

Speaking to Harris Faulkner, Wallace said Trump once again kept Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation at the top of the headlines.

But Rosenstein is not now heading the FBI's probe into the Trump campaign's possible collusion with a Russian campaign that USA intelligence officials have said was seeking to tilt the outcome of the 2016 election in Trump's favor. Trump cited the memo in firing Comey.

Disturbance to reach the Gulf of Mexico; chance of development increases
The strength of the system & positioning of two strong upper level high pressure areas will likely ultimately decide the path. While forecast models are fairly uniformed on the development of a weak system, where it goes is still much less certain.

The White House had confirmed that Mr Mueller was among the candidates Mr Trump interviewed to replace Mr Comey.

The president made a tweet about his defeated Democratic opponent complaining that the probe is unfair.

"Why is that Hillary Clintons family and Dems dealings with Russian Federation are not looked at, but my non-dealings are?" he asked.

The White House denies any collusion.

Mr Trump was criticised for the tweet by the senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Dianne Feinstein.

A representative for Trump's lawyer promptly reacted to the allegation.
