Apple announces watchOS 4 with new watchfaces, improved Workouts, and more

Apple Watches get an update which is called watchOS 4. The company is set to announce all sorts of super cool goodies at WWDC'17 and is kicking off the event with new additions to the Apple Watch.

First up, watchOS 4 will implement a new Siri-based watch face, incorporating advanced Siri integration with deep machine learning algorithms to help present users with a vertically-scrollable list of updates from their various Watch apps.

A bunch of new watch faces have also been introduced, including Woody, Jessie, and Buzz from Toy Story.

For developers, this means there is more options to better integrate the apps they make for the Apple Watch with watchOS 4's native features.

You can also sync fitness equipment in gyms with the Apple Watch starting this fall, regarding things like calories burned.

The standard Apple Watch is available in 4 different casings, including rose gold and silver, and comes equipped with a sports band, priced at $269.

There's also a new quickstart UI for workout features, and auto sets for swimming and new controls for HIIT workouts, which can be extra useful to track those intervals. One of the biggest updates - or at least the most visible - here are to be found on watch faces. Multiple workouts can also now be chained sequentially into a single session.
