Trump Security for NYC Visit to Cost $300K, NYPD Commissioner Says

The first family travels frequently, ranging from business trips to Vancouver and Dubai by Trump's adult sons, to ski weekends in Colorado and British Columbia by Ivanka Trump, the Times reported.

The trillion-dollar Omnibus Appropriations Act introduced on Sunday would fund the federal government into September, and set aside $68 million for states and localities that protect the president and his family.

About $58 million would go directly to the Secret Service. That figure more than doubles to an average cost of $308,000 per day whenever the president is in town. This has cost a pretty penny, especially for New York City and Florida taxpayers, and now there's yet another price tag.

'Although the federal government does not otherwise reimburse costs of state or local law enforcement for activities in support of the United States Secret Service protection mission, ' according to the budget legislation.

Trump, who has not visited the city since he took the presidential oath, is scheduled to meet Australia's prime minister at the Intrepid museum before heading to his golf course in New Jersey, where he'll reportedly stay for the rest of his Tri-State visit.

"This is an important step", Deutch told the Times.
