This nugget-loving kid just beat Ellen DeGeneres' retweet record

The allure of Wendy's chicken nuggets is at the center of Twitter's most retweeted tweet.

Carter Wilkinson's quest for retweets began last month when he asked the fast food chain, 'Yo @Wendy's how many retweets for a year of free chicken nuggets?'

Wendy's has announced that Carter will get free chicken nuggets for a year even though he didn't reach the 18 million mark.

"Consider it done", replied Wilkerson, despite having only 150 Twitter followers at the time.

Nor did he likely expect to unseat DeGeneres' tweet of a star-studded selfie from the 2014 Oscars, which previously held the record for the most retweets. "At first, I didn't even expect them to respond", the teen said of Wendy's. "That's good for the nuggets and good for a $100k donation to [the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.] Consider it done".

That rebound has overshadowed efforts by OPEC and non-OPEC members like Russian Federation to support the oil market. Both Brent LCOc1 and US crude CLc1 fell nearly 4 percent overnight on mounting concerns about oversupply.

NBA Recaps: Raptors get even with Bucks
Antetokounmpo scored nine more in the final quarter, and the Raptors got no closer than 23 points the rest of the way. The two teams have a practice day Sunday and then are right back at it on Monday night in Toronto for a 7 p.m. tip.

Trump praises Macron for 'big win' in France's election
Now French voters have removed the last remaining big political risk for the euro this year. I've voted for the left in the past and been disappointed".

Well, now Carter has topped Ellen's tweet with over 3.45 million retweets!

Last month, you couldn't open Twitter without someone in your feed retweeting Carter's dream into your line of sight.

Even DeGeneres herself got in on the action, inviting him to appear on The Ellen Show in mid-April.

Dave Thomas, a born-again Christian and the founder of Wendy's, created the charity to find homes for the countless children stuck in America's foster care system. Guinness World Records' official Twitter account tweeted a congratulatory message to Wilkerson for topping that record.

After sending out a plea for the world to help him attain his free chicken, corporate support rolled in from giants like Apple, Google, and Microsoft; Twitter, naturally, gave the teen a verified badge in addition to his own hashtag, complete with a custom emoji.
