Houston take out of comfort zone, slowed down in Game 2

Spurs point guard Tony Parker is done for the remainder of the playoffs after he ruptured his left quadriceps tendon late in Wednesday night's Game 2 victory over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals, the Spurs confirmed Thursday morning.

Parker had an MRI exam after sustaining the injury on Wednesday as the Spurs evened their Western Conference second-round series against the Houston Rockets with a 121-96 victory. The team said there is no timetable yet for his recovery.

In the team's first round series against the Grizzlies, Parker averaged 16 points and three assists on 53 percent shooting from the field. Wladimir Klitschko Vows That He Will Be Back From Defeat
He's back in training and he's getting into shape and that's good for boxing, so I hope that he comes back to his very best. That's what I said to Klitschko: for me this was not a defining fight. "He showed he can recover from taking big shots".

House Passes Comp Time Bill
The public sector already has this option available and Republicans say that private business should as well. The bill hasn't yet been voted on by the Senate, and similar bills haven't passed the Senate in the past.

LeBron James moved into second on the NBA's all-time postseason scoring list thanks to his 39 points, while he also had six rebounds and four assists.

"It's unusual and a little bit sad", Ginobili, a 15th-year pro, said of not having Parker, a 16th-year pro, and fellow member of the Spurs' vaunted Big Three by his side.

"You can't replace Tony Parker". "Game 1 is good for us", the bearded one said with no hint of joy, "but we've got to get greedy".

Mills had earlier indicated he would be willing to step up if Parker was indeed put on the long-term injury list. "He's a Hall of Famer one day, but I think guys just came out with a sense of urgency and just played hard", Aldridge said.

During this season, Parker averaged his lowest point per game (10.1) and assist per game (4.5) output since his rookie season.

Aldridge, who had only four points in the series opener, scored 15 in Game 2 and looked like his old self Friday night.
