Congratulate all who successfully passed CBSE XII exams: PM Modi

Data compiled by the CBSE shows that this year the overall pass percentage is 82.02 percent - less than last year's 83.05 percent. "I want to give entire credit to my parents, they supported me a lot", Bhumi told reporters in Sirsa, her maternal grandparents' home. "We have not only secured 100% results but 19 students here scored 100 out of 100 in various subjects across various streams such as chemistry, fine arts, economics; another 100 students have scored above 90%". Candidates with disabilities also performed well in the board exam with a pass percentage of 86.69%.

This year, CBSE and 32 other boards scrapped this policy and said that all exams would be graded uniformly. How does the moderation policy work? "One has to admit that this year's Class XII question papers were more hard than those last year". While the qualifying marks for reserve category candidates is 35% (35 Marks) in Paper I & II and 40% i.e; 60 Marks in Paper III. So if a student has scored 78, he/she would now get 93. At least six more students had secured more than 480 marks in the district, which included S. Deeptha (488), V. Poorvaja (485), S. Krithick Kanna (485), S. Adithya (483) and Sonath Sachin (483) from KV No. 1 and A. Rangarajan (482) from Mahatma Montessori School (CBSE).

The result has been announced after much delay due to the controversy with the Marks Moderation Policy. Delhi High Court had also said that the decision by the CBSE "would have a drastic effect on the students" and "rules can't change once the game has begun".

Meet Ajay R Raj, who is partially blind, but that did not deter the teenager from scoring 490 out of 500 marks.

Asked about her daily study schedule, she said, "I was flexible with my routine. Though the policy was restored after the Delhi High Court order, students are still anxious whether this will remain or whether it was actually followed during evaluation".

Budget office to gauge health bill effect on coverage, cost
The report could give talking points to House Republicans for their bill, or to Democrats who voted unanimously against it. Besides premiums, other critical components of the value of health insurance are out-of-pocket costs and benefits.

The result will be declared in the form of score card for each candidate who appeared in the exam.

The Regional officer (RO) of CBSE Dehradun Ranvir Singh said that the results of this year are better as compared with last year.

Under the moderation policy, students are awarded up to 15 percent extra marks in certain papers if the questions are deemed to be hard. "It is an academic call that the board needs to take".

It may be mentioned here that the CBSE Class-XII results of many students were withheld by the board on Sunday and no new date has been given for announcement of their results.
