Capitals replace Holtby in goal for 3rd period of Game 2

Marc-Andre Fleury was brilliant again in stopping 34 of the 36 shots he faced for Pittsburgh, which also got goals by Matt Cullen, Jake Guentzel and Evgeni Malkin.

I just don't think a regression will doom this team.

The second round of the NHL Playoffs is a round you don't want to miss!

Game 3 of this series goes Tuesday in NY.

Nicklas Backstrom had a goal and an assist for Washington, which has yet to lead in the series. It wasn't until the second that the scoring started, with Sidney Crosby scoring twice and Alex Ovechkin scoring once.

The Washington Capitals once again are coming up short in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Now in a deep but not insurmountable hole against the defending Stanley Cup champs, the Capitals reportedly held a players' only meeting following this latest defeat. Starter Braden Holtby never made the big save needed in the big moment before giving way to backup Philipp Grubauer.

In Saturday's 6-2 loss to Pittsburgh, the Capitals had no firepower or momentum, and were in a state of panic, leading them to do something once thought impossible: pulling Braden Holtby in a playoff game.

"There are some areas that I feel that we can be a little bit better at", Vigneault said. In this series, Crosby has four points; two goals and two spoon-feeding, primary assists in Saturday's 6-2 win. Malkin's deflection was initially waved off for goaltender interference, but the Penguins challenged and the call was overturned. He leads the playoffs in goals scored and already owns the franchise record for playoff goals by a rookie. "I could not possibly be more thrilled than to be more than 100 miles way from Washington's swamp", Mr. Trump said to cheers, as he began his speech by verbally smacking the news media, drawing the chant of "CNN sucks!" from the crowd.

That marked the end of Holtby's night after two periods as the 2016 Vezina Trophy victor was again not at his best as Fleury stole the show. "He's a game-changer for us".

Facebook is also stepping up efforts to combat fake news, which emerged as a major issue in last year's US presidential election. But those concerns could hurt its bottom line. "We had a good start to 2017", said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO.

Many familiar with the comic book source material are calling out the costumes for being, well, pretty terrible by comparison. It remains to be seen which United Kingdom broadcaster will pick this up, but we'll let you know if/when we hear anything.

House Passes Comp Time Bill
The public sector already has this option available and Republicans say that private business should as well. The bill hasn't yet been voted on by the Senate, and similar bills haven't passed the Senate in the past.

That'll go up, though, as he works his way back to 100 percent.

The puck stayed like that for MINUTES, and the second period finished with not one but two pucks in play.

Pageau scored a career-high four goals, including the victor 2:54 into the second overtime to lift the Senators to a victory over visiting NY on Saturday, giving Ottawa a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Did coach Mike Sullivan take a page out of the Lightning's 2016 playbook, or did the Penguins find this counterstrike identity organically?

"We played well enough to win this game, there's no question about it so it's really tough to lose this one", Lundqvist said. Fleury has allowed four goals on 71 shots (0.944 save percentage).

The Penguins regained the lead at 13:04 when Crosby entered the zone and, with a trio of defenders closing on him, fed across to Kessel. Holtby has responded well in games after being pulled this season, including back-to-back shutouts on one occasion and a string of eight consecutive victories on another. Holtby has a 2.62 goals-against average and.911 save percentage in eight games in these playoffs, a far cry from his career postseason brilliance.

The play started when Crosby blocked a shot and got the puck to Guentzel while down on the ice.

"I thought his quota was full", captain Erik Karlsson said when asked if Pageau was his pick for the double OT victor.

It continued a trend that existed in Game 1 as well as in the series against Columbus, which routinely watched early-game shot surges go to waste. To make room for Hagelin, Pittsburgh F Scott Wilson was a scratch. Coach Barry Trotz says he has no regrets. The Capitals made one lineup change, inserting RW Paul Carey on the fourth line and scratching RW Brett Connolly.
