Melanie Brown Granted Restraining Order Against Stephen Belafonte For Alleged Domestic Abuse

After announcing that she was filing for a divorce from husband Stephen Belafonte in March, Mel B has now been granted a restraining order from him, as well as primary custody of their five-year-old daughter Madison.

In the court documents, Brown detailed incidents dating back to 2007, when she claimed Belafonte slammed her onto the floor and began choking her on the night of her finale for the TV show "Dancing with the Stars". Mel B claims it was his pattern to beat her when she was successful to "let me know he was in charge".

In addition to the allegations of physical abuse, Mel also claimed she was sexually abused and forced to have a threesome with a "random woman" because Stephen supposedly threatened to leak their sex tapes.

Mel B says she repeatedly tied to leave her husband but he threatened her with violence and said he would sabotage her life and career.

Evening Standard Online has contacted Mel B's reps for comment. The worst thing that he did was that he forced her to participate in threesomes, by threatening her that he would release their tapes.

The allegations included secretly filming Brown, also 41, having sex with women and punching her the day after the Spice Girls closed the 2012 Olympics.

There is also the surprising revelation that Belafonte impregnated their nanny and even suggested that "all three of them live together" with the new baby. Stephen eventually made the nanny get an abortion.

A hearing on the temporary restraining order has been set for April 24.

The singer asked her husband how she was expected to work on television after that, to which Belafonte allegedly replied that she should have thought of that before she made a decision to "flirt with and f**k Usher".

Belafonte denies the allegations.

"I am in fear of my safety and I am in fear of being irreparably harmed as a result of [Belafonte's] threats", Brown said in court documents. Brown reportedly claimed that Belafonte had a gun at home, although he is legally prohibited from owning a firearm as a result of the conviction.
