Jeff Goldblum Signs On To Join Jurassic World 2

Jeff Goldblum, who played the chaos theory-fueled Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park and its 1997 sequel, is dipping into the amber again with a role in the follow-up toJurassic World from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. J.A. Bayona is directing this time but Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to return. He joins a cast that now includes returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard alongside Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith and Rafe Spall.

Colin Trevorrow, who helmed Jurassic World, penned the script with his writing partner, Derek Connolly.

The Jurassic Park star is at Wynyard Station with his amazingly named pop-up restaurant, Chef Goldblums. While that sequel was not as good as the original film, Goldblum is one of the film's highlights (alongside that cliff sequence).

Ian Malcom is the second character to be brought over from Park to World. The star was asked about his role in the Jurassic World sequel and went on saying too much, giving away the "epic" scene he's playing in. Many fans are speculating that the private dinosaur collection might be somehow connected to John Hammond.

Jurassic World 2 (or whatever it's going to be called) will arrive in theaters on June 22, 2018.

Goldblum will soon appear in Disney-Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok", in theaters November 3.
