Janet Jackson splits from husband three months after welcoming first child

The iconic pop star has reportedly split with her billionaire husband a few months after she gave birth to a little boy in January. In addition, they claim that she declined to do music videos that featured "bumping and grinding, trademarks of her work". They got married in 2012 in a secret ceremony that was revealed a year later. He may be thinking "cheaper to keep her" right about now, though.

However after almost five years, 50-year-old Janet's pal suggested that the split was "amicable" and that the baby boy will "stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London".

Janet gave birth to their child, a son named Eissa, in early January after almost five years of marriage to Wissam.

According to a new report, the 50-year-old singer could earn an estimated $500 million if she decides to divorce her husband of five years following their recent breakup.

Rumours of a split circulated within days of Eissa's birth, when Jackson was seen in public without her wedding ring, but sources insisted the couple was still together and very happy. "She was anxious about her mother - and Wissam showed little to no concern".

Janet Jackson had tree husbands, her first marriage with the singer James DeBarge in 1984 but the marriage was annulled after they separated just a year later.
