Hillary Clinton says 'misogyny played a role' in U.S. presidential election loss

Hillary Clinton has a lot of time on her hands since the election.

Hillary Clinton's first extensive on-stage interview since losing the presidential election in November was a big hit. "I don't want any Republican candidate to be subjected to what I was subjected to", Clinton said.

Clinton, who was speaking to The New York Times reporter Nicholas Kristof at the Women in the World summit, said she still can not fathom that 53% of white women voted for her rival Donald Trump.

In her first interview since losing the 2016 US election, Clinton said the prospect of electing the first woman president was exciting for some Americans, but threatening to others. While they might not suggest that Clinton will take Bee up on her suggestion to work on late night television, her subtle jokes certainly went over well with the admittedly friendly crowd.

"Assad has an air force, and that air force is the cause of most of these civilian deaths as we have seen over the years and as we saw again in the last few days", said Clinton at a "Women in the World" summit in New York City.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton reacted Friday to the United States strike on Syria, saying the U.S. needs a long-term plan to stop future attacks on civilians by the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

Twitter Sues U.S. to Block Unmasking of Anti-Trump User
The Constitution does not allow the government to suppress the speech of either current or former government workers, Twitter's lawsuit contends.

"A foreign power meddled with our election", she said, referring to Russian Federation, deeming it "an act of aggression", and the "weaponization of information".

Curiously, she made that observation in response to a question about why white women didn't vote for her. And why and what the underlying reasons why is what I'm trying to parse out myself.

Trump and his top aides said before and after the air strikes that the President was deeply moved by photos and video of children being gassed by the Assad government. Oh, and she revealed that she is working on another book.

"The things that come out of some of these men's mouths, like why do we have to cover maternity care?"

She said the Russian leader is "not very fond" of strong women but was reluctant to personally attack her former opponent, Donald Trump. "Oh I don't know, maybe you were dropped by immaculate conception?" she said. I think he had his desire to destabilize us and others.
