Durant shines in Golden State playoff debut in Game 1 win

The margin of the game instead came from the Golden State bench outscoring Portland's 22-9, including a 13-2 run to open the fourth quarter without either Curry or Durant on the floor.

Nurkic arrived at Oracle Arena on Sunday and made his way directly to the Blazers' locker room.

The Warriors hope to get forward Matt Barnes back from a sprained right ankle and foot Wednesday night for Game 2, while the Blazers were uncertain when Nurkic might be ready to return.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler scored 15 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter as the Chicago Bulls held on to beat the Boston Celtics 106-102 in the opener of a first-round Eastern Conference series.

Portland coach Terry Stotts can look to last year's playoffs for some guidance, though he said Golden State's defense is far better now.

"I mean, he played a game that I'm not sure anybody else in the league is capable of, honestly", Kerr said.

And he responded by playing like, well, Kevin Durant - gliding to the basket, knocking down jumpers, hitting the boards. Not in the sense that Green was offending them, but that it brought an added intensity to the game even though there was mutual respect between both sides.

"His all-around dominance in the fourth quarter helped the Warriors turn an 88-88 tie into a runaway victory". Who else can do what Draymond just did tonight?

Levandowski on the stand to explain to you what happened, because I think he has a good story to tell", Gonzalez said. Waymo alleges Levandowski plotted his betrayal to Uber while he was still an executive at the Google unit.

Lillard only played one game at Oracle this season because of an injury. He essentially iced the game for the Warriors on a handful of isolation post ups in the fourth. Once again I have the Warriors winning this one easily, but I'll happily take the Blazers with the points. We can't overlook the importance of Green to this team. They got more aggressive on the ball with the trapping pick-and-rolls a little bit more. But, the Trail Blazers put on a shooting clinic, specifically their two big stars, and it was enough to tie the game heading into the 4th quarter.

In his first playoff game with the Warriors, Durant didn't disappoint.

Through all the chatter that may occur in this series, Lillard said he respects and appreciates what Green brings to the game.

McCollum shot 11 of 15 in the first half then began the second 2 for 7 and finished his day 16 of 28 while Lillard shot 12 for 26.

Green met Portland center Noah Vonleh at the rim in transition for a block on what had the makings of a thunderous dunk in the third quarter.

McCollum admitted to the verbal calf jab, and made it clear that he's not going to shy away from mixing it up with Green word-for-word. So, when Stotts said in his postgame presser that Durant gives the Warriors "a different dimension than past year", you know he understands what he's talking about. Even though the playoffs are a different animal and we've seen some incredible performances over the years, Portland probably can't count on 75 a night from Lillard and McCollum. Against the Blazers, Green almost finished with the elusive 5x5, going for 19 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, five blocks, and three steals.

Good win for the Warriors to get this series started. I've already mentioned McGee, but Ian Clark also deserves to be included.

You can point to the Blazers' first-half success as an indicator that they have a chance to shock the Warriors.
