Saskatchewan Roughriders Sign Vince Young

Former Tennessee Titans quarterback and Madden '08 coverboy Vince Young is headed to Saskatchewan.

With his draft stock at an all-time high, Young declared early and was taken third overall in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.

Young has been out of the football spotlight the last couple years, but had a five-year run as one of the most well-known players in the sport.

Most of the signal callers who have come to the CFL and thrived have little to no National Football League time.

Free to sign anywhere for the 2011 season, Young chose the "Dream Team" Philadelphia Eagles, signing a one-year deal to back up Michael Vick.

Young posted a 31-19 record in 50 career regular-season starts and completed 755 of 1,304 pass attempts (57.9%) for 8,964 yards and 46 touchdowns while adding 282 rush attempts for 1,459 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Young's agent, Leigh Steinberg, tweeted Wednesday he was en route to Regina to finalize a deal between his client and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Young was so enthusiastic about his comeback that he actually filed for a trademark on the phrase, "Make Vince Great Again".
