Trump Rants Against the Media in Rambling Press Conference

A New York Times article published Tuesday cites unnamed us intelligence officials saying Manafort and other Trump campaign aides had repeated contacts with Russian intelligence officers in the lead-up to Election Day.

Mr Corker said the Russian Federation issue was threatening Mr Trump's agenda on foreign affairs and domestic matters such as healthcare and tax policy.

But calls for an independent investigation have encountered a cold reaction from some senior Republicans.

"No, absolutely not, no, no, no", Spicer said to a reporter who asked whether Trump had instructed Flynn to discuss Russian sanctions during a conversation with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. That's when then-acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Q. Yates told the White House counsel that Flynn's misstatements had left him vulnerable to blackmail.

After Flynn's sudden exit, questions remained about how much Trump and his team knew about the retired general's conversation. This misinformation led Pence to go on national television in mid-January and deny allegations about Flynn's discussion of USA sanctions on Russian Federation.

He said that as soon as Flynn "lost the president's trust", it was time for him to go.

Yet, the president continued to back Flynn.

And leaks coming from within the White House, even about details as inconsequential as Trump watching television in a bathrobe, demonstrate the tension and in-fighting among Trump's closest advisers. But the trust had gone.

Leicester City's terrible season in numbers
Despite seemingly at a loss to stop the rot, Ranieri insisted he remains the right man to lead Leicester out of trouble. Leicester are now without an away win in the Premier League since last April, with the run stretching to 15 matches.

Robert Durst Confessed to Killing His Missing Wife, Friend Testifies
Chavin, appeared in court Wednesday with a security detail and has taken the stand, saying he's known Durst for 25 to 30 years. He was also the former boss of Susan Giordano, a close friend of Durst who testified on Monday morning.

President Trump, in turn, must now fear his own intelligence officials because they have shown they are willing to get Flynn fired and the president and vice president humiliated, Napolitano said. By what authority did Flynn act and to whom did he report?

In an interview conducted with the conservative website The Daily Caller on Monday, but published only on Tuesday, Mr Flynn said he "crossed no lines" in his conversation with the ambassador. "The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy".

Suspicions further raised after unverified reports Russian Federation may have compiled a dossier of compromising information about Donald Trump, which it could employ as blackmail.

Senate Democrats with experience in intelligence matters weren't sure what to make of Nunes' comments about the potential wiretapping of Flynn. I have no deals there.

Gen Flynn has apologised for giving Mr Pence and others "incomplete information" about the call, which happened on 29 December - the same day President Obama announced new sanctions on Russian Federation. The Kremlin has denied that any talks between Flynn and Russia's ambassador to the US took place.

What about House Speaker Paul Ryan?

Trump for weeks questioned the veracity of those reports before finally acknowledging in a news conference days before he was sworn-in that he believes Russian Federation was behind the hacks.

"This is the internal business of the Americans, it is the internal business of President Trump's administration", spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists in Moscow.
