The Binding Of Isaac: Afterbirth Is Being Delayed Past Switch Launch

The Nintendo Switch version of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has been pushed back beyond the console's March 3 launch, publisher Nicalis announced today. Nicalis also announced some new items for first-run copies of the physical Switch Launch Edition of Afterbirth+.

The developer stated that the game is being delayed "due to some issues beyond out control".

If any of you who pre-ordered the game noticed a change in release or delivery date, that's why. The case initially was supposed to have a reversible alternate cover and two sheets of stickers that feature the game's characters.

While these bonuses will likely help convince fans that the delay isn't a big deal, the fact that The Binding of Isaac won't be part of the Switch's launch lineup is bad news for early adopters. The package will only be available for the initial production run of the physical game for Nintendo Switch, as reported by Polygon. It's just not quite the release date everyone hoped for. Soon you will a lot more announcements from third-party partners.
