Social networking phenomenon twitter is having a makeover and some new features that they say will offer an easier, faster and richer experience.
Split screen design
The new design will split the screen into your regular timeline and a pane that will slide out when you click on a tweet to show your the tweet content details.
Above your timeline will appear @mentions, re-tweets, searches and lists.
Content features
Embedding tweet content such as video and photos has been made easier thanks to multiple twitter partnership agreements with the likes of Flickr, YouTube and deviantART.
Mini profile
Another great new feature is the mini profile. Instead of having to view the profile owner's page, you can now get a quick summary of someone including their bio and recent tweets.
The new version of twitter will be rolled out over the coming weeks with the ability to switch between old and new so that you get chance to grow accustomed to the changes.
